Google Pixel 10 Series: Everything We Know So Far
Google’s Pixel line-up has always been a favourite among Android enthusiasts, offering top-tier cameras, clean software, and exclusive AI features. With the Pixel 9 series just around the corner, rumours about the Pixel 10 series are already heating up.
While Google hasn’t officially confirmed anything yet, leaks and industry insiders have given us a glimpse into what we can expect from the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro. Let’s dive into the details!
Expected Release Date
Google typically releases new Pixel phones in October, so we expect the Pixel 10 series to launch in Fall 2026. However, some reports suggest Google might shift to an earlier release, possibly August or September, to better compete with Apple and Samsung.
Design & Display
Flat vs. Curved Displays: The Pixel 10 Pro might stick with a flat display, while the Pro model could bring back a slightly curved screen for a premium feel.
- Smaller Bezels: Expect even thinner bezels for a more immersive viewing experience.
- New Color Options: Google may introduce fresh colours, including a potential Porcelain White and Obsidian Black with a matte finish.
Display Specs (Rumoured)
| Model | Size | Refresh Rate | Resolution |
| Pixel 10 | 6.2" | 120Hz | FHD+ |
| Pixel 10 Pro | 6.7" | 120Hz LTPO | QHD+ |
The Google Pixel 10 will have a 6.2 inches 120Hz FHD+ display. While the Pixel 10 Pro will have a 6.7 inches 120Hz QHD+ display.
Performance: Google’s Next-Gen Tensor Chip
Google Tensor G5 – an 8-core chipset that is planned to be announced on August 1, 2025, and is manufactured using a 3-nanometer process technology. It has 1 core Cortex-X4 at 3400 MHz, 5 cores Cortex-A725 at 2850 MHz, and 2 cores Cortex-A520 at 2400 MHz.
The Pixel 10 series will likely feature the Tensor G5 chip, Google’s first fully custom-designed processor (built on TSMC’s 3nm process). This should bring:
- Better efficiency & battery life
- Faster AI processing (for improved photography & voice recognition)
- Stronger gaming performance (finally closing the gap with Snapdragon)
Camera Upgrades
Google’s computational photography is already industry-leading, but the Pixel 10 series could take it further:
- - New 50MP Main Sensor (better low-light performance)
- - Upgraded Ultra-Wide Lens (reduced distortion)
- - Periscope Zoom on Both Models? (Rumours say even the base Pixel 10 might get a telephoto lens)
- - Enhanced Night Sight & Astrophotography
Video Improvements
- - 8K Video Recording (finally!)
- - Better Stabilization (Google’s answer to Apple’s Action Mode)
- - AI-Powered Audio Enhancements (background noise reduction)
Software & AI Features
With Android 16 (or whatever it’ll be called), the Pixel 10 will likely introduce:
- More Gemini AI Integration (smarter Google Assistant, real-time translation)
- Advanced Call Screening (AI detecting spam calls before you answer)
- On-Device AI Processing (faster, more private than cloud-based AI)
Battery & Charging
| Model | Battery Size | Charging Speed |
| Pixel 10 | 4,500mAh | 30W wired / 23W wireless |
| Pixel 10 Pro | 5,000mAh | 45W wired / 30W wireless |
- Longer Battery Life (thanks to Tensor G5 efficiency)
- Faster Charging (still behind Chinese brands, but an improvement)
- Reverse Wireless Charging (for Pixel Buds & smartwatches)
Price & Availability
Google has been increasing Pixel prices, so expect:
Pixel 10: $799 (up from $699)
Pixel 10 Pro: $1,099 (up from $999)
Pre-orders should start right after the launch, with carriers offering trade-in deals.
Final Thoughts: Should You Wait?
If you’re on a Pixel 7 or older, the Pixel 10 could be a massive upgrade. However, if you have a Pixel 8 or 9, it might be better to wait for the Pixel 11 series unless you really want the Tensor G5 chip and camera improvements.
What do you think? Are you excited for the Pixel 10, or will you stick with your current phone? Let us know in the comments!
